Self-checking whether integration is operational

Last updated on November 25, 2022

Once you have implemented the bridge for the interaction with Sber Smart Home, self-check whether software interfaces are operational. This will help you to post your integration promptly, thus avoiding multiple iterations of moderation.

Testing webhook and API queries

For checking purposes, use any API testing client, such as Postman. Check:

  • Every query to your webhook for each category of your devices. Emulate Sber Smart Home queries and make sure that your cloud correctly processes that query and responds to it using the prescribed format.

  • If you have implemented API methods for sending queries to Sber Smart Home, send each of these and make sure that query formats match those described in the documentation. Check methods applicable to devices and models for each of your devices and models.

Manual testing

It is possible to check integration from user's viewpoint: select your brand in the Salute app, link the account to Sber Smart Home, add devices and control them.

For this purpose, the integration under review will need to be visible in your list of vendors available for connection in the Salute app:

  • If you access SmartMarket using Sber ID and if you are the creator of an integration project, there is no need to do anything else. In the Salute app, go to screen

    , click on
and select Third-Party Devices (Устройства других производителей). Your brand should already be on the list of those available for connection. It is visible to you only, nobody else sees the integration.

  • If you want to check integration for a project created by someone else, or if you want to add more people as testers, email us at smarthome@sberdevices.ru. Indicate the integration project name and phone numbers of users you want to add as testers. Please note that only users with a Sber ID account can be testers. If they don't have one yet, they need to get registered – it is not necessary to be a Sberbank client to do so.

We will add the users as testers and notify you accordingly in a response email. The integration will become visible in those users' Salute app. To see it, open this screen:

    , click on
and select Third-Party Devices (Устройства других производителей).

To verify integration, act as an ordinary user:

  1. Link the accounts and add devices to Sber Smart Home. Make sure that all devices added in your Smart Home app were imported in Sber Smart Home and are visible in the Salute app.
  2. In addition, check that import works correctly: in your Smart Home app, add one more device from each category and make sure that the Salute app sends push notifications that new devices were found. Set up new devices and check that they are visible in the Salute app.
  3. For a device in each category, check voice control and interface-based control. Test all applicable commands.
  4. If applicable, change device locations in your Smart Home app: e.g. house, room. Make sure that device locations have changed in the Salute app, too.
  5. Delete devices from your Smart Home app. Make sure that the devices disappeared from the Salute app, too.
  6. Unlink accounts. Make sure that your devices are no longer visible in the Salute app.
