Add or modify model or device in existing or new category

  1. Update your models or devices database. Add device or model for your smart home's test user.

  2. Make sure that changes are correctly processed by the bridge: using any API testing client, emulate the get devices query for the test user. The response should match that described in the documentation.

    Follow the same process to test the operability of post query and post command queries – your webhook's responses to them must be correct, too.

  3. If you have implemented API methods for interaction with Sber Smart Home, check all methods applicable to devices and models: post state, get devices, post devices, put devices, delete devices, get models, post models, put models, delete models.

  4. Test your integration manually: in the Salute app, go to screen

    and select Third-Party Devices (Устройства других производителей). Then find the draft copy of your integration – it will be marked as "draft". Select it, connect the test user account to it and check integration operability. See the Manual testing section for a description how this should be done.

  5. If the device or model falls into any previously moderated category, it is not necessary to re-initiate moderation: it will be sufficient for you to self-check the integration. You can however request moderation if you feel it is necessary – see below how you can do this.

    If the device or model falls into a new category, moderation is mandatory: if it is omitted and we register a growing error rate, your integration may be blocked. While moderation continues, your integration will not disappear from the integrations list in the Salute app – users will be able to continue using the currently posted version.

To re-submit a new category of devices and send your integration for a new moderation:

  1. Choose your desired moderation method: by sending the device to Sber or via video conferencing.

  2. Send us an email to smarthome@sberdevices.ru. We shall contact you and advise where you should deliver your device or fix a time for the video call.

    If you have sent the device to Sber's office, please wait until the moderation is completed. It normally takes about a week. We shall notify you of moderation results by email, either describing what went wrong or confirming successful moderation of the device tested.

    If you pass moderation via video conferencing, you will know the results as soon as it is completed.
